Choose whether the battery in the camera or
the batteries in the battery pack are used first
when an optional MB-D12 battery pack is
attached
. Note that if the MB-D12 is powered
by an optional EH-5b AC adapter and EP-5B
power connector, the AC adapter will be used
regardless of the option selected.
A s icon is displayed in the camera control
panel when the batteries in the MB-D12 are
in use.

A The MB-D12 Battery Pack
The MB-D12 takes one EN-EL15 or EN-EL18 rechargeable Li-ion battery
or eight AA alkaline, Ni-MH, or lithium batteries (an EN-EL15 is supplied
with the camera; EN-EL18 and AA batteries are available separately).
The information display shows the type of
battery inserted in the MB-D12 as follows:
MB-D12 battery type display Battery type
