sensitivity control. Its fun and can be useful!
White Balance
White balance
(WB) is designed to let you capture accurate colors in
each of your camera’s RGB color channels. Your images can reflect
realistic colors if you understand how to use the WB settings.
This is one of the more important things to learn about digital
photography. If you dont understand how white balance works, youll
have a hard time when you want consistent color across a number of
images.
In this chapter we will look at WB briefly and learn only how to
select the various White balance settings. This is such an important
concept to understand that an entire chapter—titled
White Balance
is devoted to this subject (page 111). Please read that chapter
carefully. It is important that you learn to control the WB settings. A
lot of what youll do in computer post-processing of images requires a
good understanding of white balance control.
