Pre-Ride Inspection
Before Each Ride: Please perform the following inspection.
Check Point Description
Steering
Handlebar
1.
Steadiness. Handlebar is not loose or pivoting
2.
Steering flexibility from left to right. No binding.
3.
No axial displacement or free-play in the steering bearings.
Brakes
1.
Brake levers have 5 to 9mm travel free-play. Brake pads are not worn.
Tyres
1.
The cold inflation pressure of front and rear tires is 30 psi.
2.
Inspect for proper tyre tread depth
3.
No cracks or cuts in the tyre.
Battery
No leaks or chemical smell. Adequate charge for planned travel distance.
Lights
Check all the lights—High Beam, Low Beam, Brake Light, Turn Signals,
all indicator lights, etc.
Horn
Check whether the horn is functional.
