Do you have a question about the Noblelift PTE15Q-A and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

This document describes the PTE15Q Electric Pallet Truck, a self-propelled electric power pallet truck designed for lifting, lowering, and transporting palletized loads. It is intended for industrial use and must be operated by properly trained and certified personnel in accordance with OSHA § 1910.178 and ANSI/ITSDF B56.1 standards.

Function Description:

The PTE15Q is equipped with an emergency switch (5) that stops all lifting, lowering, and driving functions and engages a failsafe electromagnetic brake when pushed. The truck is designed for use on firm, smooth, prepared, level, and adequate surfaces. It is suitable for indoor applications within ambient temperatures between +5°C and +40°C. The truck's operation involves lifting, lowering, driving, and braking. Lifting and lowering functions are controlled by buttons on the tiller. Driving is managed by an accelerator knob, allowing for forward and backward movement, with a turtle button for slow-speed operation. Braking is activated by releasing the tiller to the upright position or by pressing the regenerative braking button.

Important Technical Specifications:

The PTE15Q has a rated capacity of 1500 kg (3300 lbs) and a load center distance of 600 mm (23.6 inches). Its overall length is 1543 mm (60.75 inches) and overall width is 685 mm (26.97 inches). The truck operates on a 24V battery system, with a maximum battery capacity of 20Ah. The battery weight ranges from 115 kg (min) to 525 kg (max). The drive motor rating is 0.75 kW, and the lift motor rating is 0.50 kW. The truck's service weight is 127 kg (without battery) or 131 kg (with battery). The maximum capacity for uniformly distributed load is 1500 kg. The truck's tires are made of polyurethane (PU).

Usage Features:

The truck is designed for easy operation with a tiller arm that controls steering, lifting, lowering, and driving. The accelerator knob allows for precise speed control, and the turtle button provides a slow-speed mode for confined areas. The battery status is indicated by four lights on the tiller panel: green (75-100% SOC), yellow (50-75% SOC), and red (0-25% SOC). The truck is equipped with an electromagnetic failsafe stopping and parking brake. It is crucial to avoid operating the truck on inclines with a load facing uphill or on inclines not specified in the technical data. When charging, the truck should be parked in a dedicated, secured area with adequate power supply. The charger plug (19) connects to the battery charging port (20), and the charger power plug (18) connects to the power socket.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is essential for the safe and efficient operation of the PTE15Q. A maintenance checklist is provided, detailing daily, monthly, and yearly inspections. Key maintenance tasks include:

  • Hydraulic System: Checking for leaks, inspecting joints, refilling hydraulic oil, and adjusting pressure valves. The hydraulic oil should be replaced every 12 months or 1500 operating hours. Recommended hydraulic oil types are HVLP 32 (DIN 51524) for temperatures between -5°C and 25°C, and HLP 46 (DIN 51524) for temperatures above 25°C.
  • Electrical System: Inspecting wiring, connections, terminals, and checking for correct fuses. Fuse 1 is 10A, and Fuse 01 is 70A.
  • Braking System: Checking brake performance and replacing the brake disc if necessary.
  • Battery: Checking battery voltage, cleaning terminals, and inspecting the battery housing. The battery should be charged in a well-ventilated area, and attempts to charge a damaged battery or battery case should be avoided.
  • General: Checking horn function, electromagnetic brake air gap, emergency braking, reverse and regenerative braking, safety (belly) button function, steering, lifting, lowering, and tiller arm switch functions. All decals must be legible and replaced if damaged. Castors should be inspected, adjusted, or replaced if worn out.
  • Lubrication: Lubricating marked points according to the maintenance checklist, using grease specified by DIN 51825.
  • Troubleshooting: A troubleshooting guide is provided to address common issues such as load weight too high, lifting contactor failure, hydraulic oil level too low, oil leakage, battery not charging, fuse faults, low battery, and emergency switch activation.

The truck is designed for durability, but regular checks and adherence to maintenance schedules are crucial for its longevity and safe operation. All repairs and maintenance should be performed by qualified and trained personnel.
