To avoid unauthorised use of your phone:
• First, activate the keyguard code: Press Menu in standby mode and select
Settings, Keyguard settings and Keyguard code. Key in the security code and
press OK. Select On.
Then, lock the keypad: Press Menu and then quickly in standby mode.
• To unlock the keypad: Press Unlock in standby mode. Key in the security code
and press OK.
When the keypad is locked:
• The indicator is shown.
• To answer a call, press , When you end or reject a call, the keypad will be
automatically locked.
• The HDC-5 headset can be used normally.
Note: When Keyguard is on, calls may be possible to the emergency number
programmed into your phone (e.g. 112 or other official emergency number). Key in
the emergency number and press . The number is displayed only after you
have keyed in its last digit.
■ Writing text
You can key in characters by pressing a letter key once for each character
(predictive text input) or by pressing a letter key one or more times for each
character (traditional text input).
