Security Settings
Your phone is equipped with a versatile security system to prevent
unauthorised use of the phone or the SIM card.
PIN-Code Request
Within this menu (menu 4-3-1) you can set the phone to ask for the
PIN code of your SIM card when the phone is switched on. You need
the PIN code to set the request on.
Note that some SIM cards do not allow the PIN code request to be
turned off.
Fixed Dialling
You can restrict your outgoing calls to selected phone numbers, if
this function is supported by your SIM card (menu 4-3-2). The PIN2
code is needed for this function.
Note: When fixed dialling is set on, calls may be possible to
certain emergency numbers in some networks (e.g. 112 or
other official emergency number).
Closed User Group
This network service (menu 4-3-3) specifies the group of people
whom you can call and who can call you.
Preset resets the phone
to use a user group the SIM card owner has agreed upon with the
service provider.
Note: When calls are limited to Closed User Groups, calls
may be possible to certain emergency numbers in some net-
works (e.g. 112 or other official emergency number).
Phone Security
This menu (menu 4-3-4) allows you to set the phone security On to
avoid unauthorised use of the phone. You need the security code to
set the phone security.
When
On is selected, the phone will ask for the security code when-
ever a new SIM card is inserted.
