Topic Index
 retrieves a list of 
available topics from the network. In 
Topics
, you can add a topic to the 
topics list. You can also 
Edit

Erase
 
the topics list, or 
Select
 to mark the 
topics as active or inactive.
Select 
Language
 to set the language 
for the messages. Only messages in 
the selected language will be shown.
Fax or data call 
Shortcut: Menu 1-8. Before using 
this function you need to activate 
the IR function in Menu 9 (Infrared) 
and make sure that your phone is in 
connection with a compatible 
device.
Making a data or fax call
1. Once in the 
Messages
 menu, 
select 
Fax or data call
.
2. Scroll to 
Fax and data

allows you to switch from voice 
mode to data (or fax) mode 
during a call.
3. Key in or recall the desired phone 
number and press

Receiving a data or fax call
You can answer a data or fax call in 
the normal way, even when the 
phone keypad is locked.
Service command editor 
Shortcut: Menu 1-9. From this 
submenu you can send service 
requests (such as activation 
commands) for network services, to 
your service provider.
Voice messages 
Listen to voice messages 
Shortcut: Menu 1-10-1. When you 
select this submenu, the phone 
automatically calls your voice 
mailbox at the phone number stored 
in Menu 1-10-2.
Each phone line may have its own 
voice mailbox number, see menu 4-
6-6, Phone line in use.
TIP:
 Alternatively, press and hold 
in the standby mode.
Voice mailbox number 
Shortcut: Menu 1-10-2. Within the 
menu 
Voice Mailbox Number
 you 
can store the phone number of your 
voice mailbox. Key in the number 
and press 
OK
. This number remains 
unchanged until you replace it. You 
obtain the number from your service 
provider.
