What to do if my NordicTrack 3500 R power turns off during use?
    • B
      Barbara FisherJul 31, 2025
If your NordicTrack Treadmill's power turns off during use, there are several things you can check. First, ensure the circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord hasn't tripped. Make sure the power cord is securely plugged in. Try unplugging the cord, waiting five minutes, and plugging it back in. Also, remove and reinsert the key fully into the console. Confirm that the on/off switch is in the 'on' position. If these steps don't resolve the issue, further assistance may be needed.

How to fix NordicTrack 3500 R when the power does not turn on?
    • P
      Perry GonzalezAug 6, 2025
If your NordicTrack Treadmill does not turn on, ensure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor that meets the specifications and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet. Note that the treadmill isn't compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. Also, make sure the key is fully inserted into the console. Check the circuit breaker located near the power cord; if the switch protrudes, reset it by waiting five minutes and then pressing the switch back in. Finally, verify that the on/off switch near the power cord is in the 'on' position.

What to do if the NordicTrack Treadmill walking belt is off-center or slips?
    • L
      leahmillsAug 12, 2025
If the walking belt on your NordicTrack Treadmill is off-center, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn. If it has shifted right, turn the bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Avoid overtightening. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill briefly. If the walking belt slips, remove the key and unplug the power cord, then turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn. You should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the platform when it's correctly tightened. Keep the belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill.

Why does my NordicTrack 3500 R Treadmill walking belt slow down when I walk on it?
    • C
      Charles TurnerAug 18, 2025
If the NordicTrack Treadmill walking belt slows down when you walk on it, ensure you are using a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets the specified requirements. If the walking belt is overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use an allen wrench to turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise 1/4 turn. The belt should be tight enough that you can lift each side 3 to 4 inches off the platform. Keep the belt centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes.
