  To troubleshoot a NordicTrack Treadmill that won't turn on, ensure the power cord is properly plugged into a grounded outlet, using a suitable extension cord if needed (3-conductor, 14-gauge, up to 5 ft long). Verify the key is inserted into the console. Also, check the reset/off circuit breaker on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If it's tripped (protruding switch), wait five minutes, then press the switch back in to reset it.

  If your NordicTrack Treadmill turns off during use, check the reset/off circuit breaker and reset it if tripped by waiting five minutes before pressing it back in. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; unplug and replug it after five minutes if necessary. Also, remove and reinsert the key from the console. If the issue persists, please see the front cover of this manual.

Why does the walking belt slow down when walked on my NordicTrack C4000 NETL19807.1?

  If the walking belt on your NordicTrack Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, ensure you're using an appropriate extension cord (3-conductor, 14-gauge, no longer than 5 ft). If the belt is overtightened, unplug the treadmill and use a hex key to turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise by 1/4 turn. The belt should allow you to lift each edge 3-4 inches off the platform. Plug the treadmill back in and test, repeating adjustments as needed.   If the walking belt on your NordicTrack Treadmill is off-center or slips, unplug the treadmill. For an off-center belt, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise (if the belt is shifted left) or counterclockwise (if shifted right) by 1/2 turn using a hex key. For a slipping belt, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise by 1/4 turn. The belt should allow lifting each edge 3-4 inches off the platform. Plug the treadmill back in and test, repeating adjustments as needed.

  To recalibrate the incline system on your NordicTrack Treadmill, insert the key into the console and press an Incline button. While the incline is changing, remove the key, wait a few seconds, and then re-insert it. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline and then return to the minimum level.
