Series EPC-30 Firmware Upgrade Kit
WARNING: Allow only qualified personnel to perform the
following tasks. Observe and follow the safety instructions in
this document and all other related documentation.
The Eclipse Series EPC-30 pattern control firmware provides the unit
with the internal software needed for proper operation. This service kit
contains the latest version of the Series EPC-30 firmware.
Use these procedures to replace the firmware chips. One chip is located
on the main control board and the other chip is located on the display
board. Both chips must be replaced.
Follow this procedure to open the pattern control unit to access the
firmware chips.
WARNING: Risk of equipment damage or personal injury.
Disconnect and lock out electrical power to the unit.
1. Turn off power to the unit.
2. See Figure 1. Remove the three screws that secure the terminal
block cover to the unit; then pull the terminal block cover down about
25 mm (1 in.) to disengage the tabs and remove it from the unit.
3. Remove the two screws that secure the operator panel assembly to
the mounting plate.
