Notice: The engine can only be started after pushing the clutch pedal completely in to connect the
starting safety switch.
Starting the Engine
Warm-up the engine before using (when environment temperature is below 41° F or 5° C or the engine is
cold).
Direct Start-up
Direct start-up can be done when the environment temperature is above 41° F (5° C) or the engine is hot.
1. Press the clutch pedal completely in and turn the choke control to the ‘ST’ position. The engine will start
up.
2. Release the clutch pedal, and at the same time, decrease the fuel by controlling the throttle control
after the engine is running.
