Tip the chuck upside down as
shown in the image to remove
the scroll ring.
Note:
Use the 3mm Hex key and
push out the scroll ring
through the jaw slide ways if
the scroll ring is seized onto
the chuck body.

Slide out all of the jaw slides by
hand to complete the
disassembly process.
Parts to clean and inspect on the disassembled chuck
Following list indicates the area of parts where cleaning and inspection is required
when the chuck operation becomes difficult:
• Jaw slideways (Chuck body)
• Jaw slides
• Scroll ring spiral teeth
• Gear teeth (Scroll ring, hex pinion)
