It provides instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance of these units.
Function Description:
The Oasis Aqua Pointe Modular Series Electronic Bottle Fillers are designed to provide convenient and efficient water dispensing for refilling bottles. These units can be installed as wall-mounted or surface-mounted systems and are available with or without an integrated chiller. The electronic controls allow for hands-free operation and include features such as bottle count tracking and filter life monitoring.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Water Supply Pressure: Designed to operate at a water supply line pressure of up to 100 psi (690 kPa). A pressure regulator is required if pressure exceeds this limit.
- Electrical Connection: 115V grounded North American duplex receptacle. Intended to be connected to a 20A minimum Ground Fault Circuit Interrupting (GFCI) device to meet UL requirements. Flexible conduit is recommended for power supply to the junction box and chiller (if used).
- Filter Capacity (VersaFilter III): Default capacity is 4750 gallons (18000 liters). Other filter capacities (1250 GAL/5000 LTR for VersaFilter I, 3000 GAL/11000 LTR for VersaFilter II) are configurable.
- Bottle Count: Default bottle count is 0.5L (1 Bottle).
- Flow Rate: Default flow rate is 1.0 GPM (3.8 LPM).
- Maximum Dispense Time: Default maximum dispense time is 20 seconds, configurable to 10 or 30 seconds.
- Compressor (systems with chiller): Equipped with an automatic reset protector for overload protection.
- Dimensions: Detailed rough-in drawings are provided for various models, showing wall opening dimensions, mounting hole locations, and plumbing connections in inches and millimeters.
- MWEBF, MW8EBF, MW12EBF (Wall-mounted): Wall opening approximately 19-7/8" (505mm) wide by 40" (1016mm) high. Overall height from floor line to top of unit is approximately 40-3/4" (1035mm).
- MEBF, M8EBF, M12EBF, MEBFEE, M8EBFEE, M12EBFEE (Wall-mounted with fountain): Wall opening approximately 19-7/8" (251mm) wide by 40" (1016mm) high. Overall height from floor line to top of unit is approximately 44-11/16" (1135mm).
- MWSMEBF, MWSM8EBF, MWSM12EBF (Surface-mounted): Overall width approximately 20-5/16" (516mm). Overall height from floor line to top of unit is approximately 41-5/16" (1049mm).
Usage Features:
- Hands-Free Operation: The units are designed for hands-free use, with a remote push button for accessing menu settings.
- LED Indicator Key:
- GREEN: "BOTTLES SAVED" - Standby mode, filter life <80% used. No action needed.
- YELLOW: "BOTTLES SAVED" - Standby mode, filter life >80% but <100% used. Order new filter.
- RED: "BOTTLES SAVED" - Standby mode, filter life =100% used. Replace the filter.
- Configurable Settings: Users can access a menu via a pushbutton to adjust various settings:
- Units: Switch between Gallons and Liters.
- Filter Status: Toggle between Unfiltered and Filtered unit.
- Flow Rate: Adjust the flow rate by changing whole gallon/liter digits and tenths digits.
- Reset Counts: Reset Gallon/Liter count or Bottle count.
- Filter Capacity: Change filter capacity settings for different VersaFilter models.
- 3 Sec Rule/Bottle Size: Switch between a "3 sec rule" (increases bottle count based on a 3-second dispense) and a 0.5L bottle setting.
- Maximum Dispense Time: Adjust the maximum dispense time to 10, 20, or 30 seconds.
- Calibration: Option to run calibration again.
- Automatic Menu Exit: The menu will exit and save settings if idle for 10 seconds (no button press), reverting to the Home Screen.
Maintenance Features:
- Condenser Cleaning (systems with chiller): The condenser should be inspected at 3-month intervals and cleaned with a vacuum attachment to remove dirt and lint.
- Lubrication (systems with chiller): The hermetically sealed compressor requires no additional lubrication. The fan motor seldom needs oiling, but if required, a few drops of SAE 10 oil should be used.
- Draining (systems with chiller): When removing the cooler from service, the unit should be drained by removing the grille, closing the supply valve, and removing the drain plug.
- Filter Replacement: The LED indicator provides visual cues for when a filter needs to be ordered (YELLOW) or replaced (RED).
- Grounding: Proper grounding is a critical requirement. The long green ground wire must be attached to the frame assembly junction box ground for proper unit function.
- Warranty: The warranty is voided if the machine is altered, modified, or combined with any other machine or device, as this may lead to flooding, electrical shock, or fire.
