Transmitter Battery Removal
Locate the Battery Hatch on the End of the Housing:
• Apply a coin (not a screwdriver) to the recessed slot of the Battery Hatch and turn the
Hatch out of the Housing by turning it counter clockwise.
• Remove the Battery from the Battery Compartment and discard according to local
regulations governing disposal of batteries.
Inspection
• Closely check all of the sealing surfaces for any signs of damage that might impair
proper sealing.
• Inspect the Buttons, Lens, and Housing(s) to ensure they are not cracked or damaged.
WARNING: If damage or corrosion is found, return your Versa Pro to an
Authorized Oceanic Dealer, and DO NOT attempt to use it until it has received
factory prescribed service.
• Remove the Battery Hatch O-ring(s) and inspect for any signs of deterioration or defor-
mity. DO NOT use tools to remove the O-ring(s).
• O-ring replacement is highly recommended to ensure proper sealing.
• Closely examine the sealing surfaces of the Battery Hatch(es) and Housing(s) for any
signs of damage that might prevent proper sealing. If found, return the VT Pro to an
Authorized Oceanic Dealer, and DO NOT attempt to use it until it has received factory
service.
• Closely examine the threads of the Battery Hatch(es) and Housing(s) for any signs of
damage that might prevent proper threading.
