Scales Quick Start Guide
PREPARATION FOR USE
Place the weighing pan on the scale. (Be
careful not to break the black plastic retaining
springs on the edges of the pan support.)
Power
Check that local line voltage matches voltage
printed on the scale’s power adapter. If not,
do not connect the scale to the power supply.
Contact an Ohaus dealer.
Built-in battery (if present) has 30-hour life with
background light off and no peripheral devices
connected. (Each bar in battery symbol
indicates 25% capacity. When the symbol
flashes, charge battery 4 hours.) Battery takes
over if mains power is absent. When mains
power is on, device switches to it automatically.
Level the scale: Adjust feet
so bubble is centered.
SELECTING THE LOCATION:
Place on a firm, steady surface with sufficient space.
Avoid excessive air current, vibrations, heat sources, or rapid temperature changes.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
For safe and dependable operation of this product, observe the following safety
precautions:
Verify that the input voltage printed on the power adapter and the plug type matches
the local power supply.
Be sure the power cord does not pose an obstacle or tripping hazard.
Disconnect the product from power supply when cleaning.
Do not operate this product in hazardous or unstable environments.
Do not drop loads on the pan.
Use only approved accessories and peripherals.
Operate the product only under ambient conditions specified in the Instruction Manual.
Service should be performed by authorized personnel only.
