3.2.2 Spacing (See Figure 3.4.)
The spacing mechanism consists of a carriage shaft which is mounted parallel with the platen, and a
carriage frame which slides over the shaft. A DC motor which is mounted on the bottom surface of
the carriage frame is used to move the carriage frame. The spacing mechanism consists of the
