Requirements for programmed
emergency contacts:
All programmed emergency contacts
must have the length of their ringtone
set to 15 seconds or more to ensure
their voicemail service does not answer
the emergency call; and
The phone numbers programmed to the
Emergency key must not be answered
by automated services.
What will happen when the
Emergency key is triggered?
If all options are programmed as
enabled/active, when the Emergency key
is triggered, the following emergency
sequence will occur:
1. Warning tone sounds: An alarm
immediately sounds from the phone to
alert people nearby that help is required.
2. Emergency SMS: The emergency
message is sent to all mobile phone
numbers in the emergency contacts list.
