D The answer memory content is not updated when one of the
procedures initiated by the above key operations results in an error.
Consecutive calculations
D You can use the calculation result currently in the display (and the
result stored in the answer memory) as the first value for the next
calculation. Pay attention, however, that pressing an operation key
while a result is being displayed causes the value displayed to
change to “Ans” to indicate that the current value displayed is that
stored in the answer memory.
D The result of a calculation can also be used with a following type A

Independent memory
D The values can be entered directly in the memory or added to and
subtracted from the memory. The independent memory is particularly
suited to calculating cumulative totals.
D The independent memory uses the same memory area as variable
M.
D To delete the independent memory (M), press the
keys.
Example 1:

Variables
D There are 9 variables available (A to F, M, X and Y) which can be
used to save data, constants, results and other values.
D Proceed as follows to delete data assigned to a specific variable:

D Press the following sequence of keys to delete the values assigned
to all the variable.
