Safety Information
It is essential to read the following safety information before starting to use
the calculator. Keep this guide close to hand for reference later.
Intended use
This calculator serves exclusively for completing arithmetical processes
indoors. Any other use is considered unintended use.
Batteries
D After having removed the batteries from the calculator, keep them in
a safe place so that they cannot get into the hands of small children
who could accidentally swallow them.
D If a battery is swallowed by accident, seek medical attention
immediately.
D Never charge, dismantle or short circuit the batteries. Do not expose
the batteries to direct heat and never dispose of them in a fire.
D If the batteries are used incorrectly, the battery acid could escape
causing damage to objects nearby and creating a risk of fire or
personal injury.
D Always ensure that the positive (+) and negative (-) ends face the
right direction when the batteries are inserted in the calculator.
D Remove the batteries if the calculator will not be used for longer
periods.
D Only use batteries specified in this guide for this calculator.
D Use batteries must not be disposed of in domestic waste! Please
dispose of them at collection points provided or a special refuse
depot.
Disposal instructions
In order to dispose of your device, take it to a collection
point provided by your local public waste authorities (e.g.
recycling centre). According to laws on the disposal of
electronic and electrical devices, owners are obliged to
dispose of old electronic and electrical devices in a separate
waste container. The adjacent symbol indicates that the
device must not be disposed of in normal domestic waste!
When you dispose of the device, remove the batteries
beforehand and dispose of them separately.
