8.2 Disposal
Delete any personal data on the device before disposing of it
(see Section 7.2 Restoring the Default Factory Settings on Page
60).
Familiarize yourself with the options available concerning
the return of old equipment and used batteries free of
charge through your dealer.
The adjacent symbol indicates that electrical and electronic
apparatus and batteries no longer required must be dis-
posed of separate from domestic waste in accordance with
legal directives. Dispose of the device at a collection point
provided by your local waste authorities.
Defective and used batteries must be recycled in accord-
ance with the Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments.
Return batteries and/or the device via the collection points
provided.
Packaging materials must be disposed of according to local
regulations.
Pay attention to the identications on the packaging
materials when sorting waste; they are identied by the
abbreviations (b) and numbers (a) which have the follow-
ing signicance: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and card-
board / 80–98: composite materials.
