The use of the Spot mode is
recommended in the following
cases:
When there is an object in front
of the main subject.
When the subject is on the edge
of the frame.
• When the background is
brighter than the subject (the
subject is backlit).
Difficult-to-Autofocus Subjects
Although this camera's autofocus
system can lock on virtually any
subject, under certain conditions,
such as

below, it may not
lock on the correct subject even if
the shutter releases. This can
happen either when the green
lamp lights or blinks rapidly.
