5.4 Lubrication
When lubricating, avoid exposure to the
lubricant. It may pose an infection control
risk or cause skin irritation.
• Do not coil the insertion portion with a
diameter of less than 20 cm. This could
damage the insertion portion.
• Never use excessive force to operate the
instrument. This could damage the
instrument.
1. Immerse the insertion portion in the lubricant for 2 to
3 seconds.
2. Remove the instrument from the lubricant.
3. Move the slider back and forth two or three times to
retract the hook into and extend it from coil sheath.
4. Wipe the exterior of the instrument with a clean, dry
lint-free cloth and allow the instrument to air dry.
