4 Basic operation
4.1 Viewing an observation object
1 Turn on the illumination.
2 While watching the display screen, insert the insertion tube into the observa-
tion object.
Insert carefully while checking the insertion direction.
3 Use the [ANGLE] joystick to perform angulation operations and observe the ap-
plicable locations on the display.
Be careful not to apply excessive pushing force, twisting or tension to the insertion tube.
4 Lock the angulation section angle and direction (angulation lock) and perform
observation.
When the angulation section is at the desired angle and direction, remove the stopper and raise
the [ANGLE LOCK] lever.
The angulation angle can be adjusted finely even though the angulation is locked.
5 While watching the display screen, carefully withdraw the insertion tube.
If the angulation is locked, press down the [ANGLE LOCK] lever first, and unlock the angulation
before removing the insertion tube. Then, attach the stopper.
Stopper
