Should the main lamp fail, use the spare lamp by using the following steps.

Should the main lamp fail, light the spare lamp by using the following steps.
CAUTION
• The spare lamp is used only when the main lamp fails. As the spare lamp is
designed for the emergency in case the main lamp fails, it is given only the
minimum required level of brightness.
• Be careful not to place the spare lamp selector lever in an intermediate position.
Otherwise, lack of illumination may result.
NOTE
• The illumination light is extinguished during operation of the spare lamp selector
lever. This is not malfunction.
• The noise of the cooling fan inside this instrument increases when the spare lamp
is lit. This is not malfunction.
7.3 Remedial actions in case of emergency
1 Set the spare lamp selector lever to “SPARE LAMP”.
