Aspirating Detergent Solution Into the Suction Channel
1. Attach the Channel Cleaning Adapter to the Adapter for Instrument Channel
Port (see Figures 3.14 and 3.15).
2. Attach the Suction Tube from the Suction Pump to the Suction Connector on
the Endoscope Connector of the endoscope. Turn the Suction Pump ON.
3. Immerse both the endoscope’s Distal End and the end of the Channel
Cleaning Adapter in detergent solution.
4. Depress the Suction Valve and aspirate detergent solution for
approximately 30 seconds.
5. Turn the Suction Pump OFF.
6. Disconnect the Suction Tube and remove the Channel Cleaning Adapter
and the Adapter for Instrument Channel Port. Soak them in the detergent
solution, then reprocess them as described in Section 3.9, “Cleaning,
Disinfection and Sterilization Procedures for Removable Parts and Cleaning
Equipment”.
