Turning on the power
D While the recorder is
turned off, slide the
POWER/HOLD switch
in the direction of the
arrow.
• The power turns on.
Turning off the power
D Slide the POWER/HOLD switch ir:' the
direction of the arrow, and hold 1t for 0.5
seconds or longer.
• The power turns off.
• The resu me fu

position before
the power is turned off .
Power save mode
If the rec order is on but is not used for 1 0
minut es or lo nger (defa ult ), th e display s hut s off
a nd the recorder goe s into power save mode.
To ex it power save mod e, pr ess a ny butt on.
Charging by connecting
to a computer via USB
For WS-803, WS-802:
You ca n charge th e battery by connecting to a PC's USB
port. When
cha rging, be sure to place th e rec hargeable
ba
tt ery (s upplied) correctly i nto the recorder.
D Boot the PC .
0 Slide the USB connector
slide lever in the direction
indicated
by the arrow so
that the USB connector
protrudes from the
recorder.
D Make sure that the
recorder is in stop mode ,
and connect to the PC 's
USB port.
IJ Press the...,. OK button to
start charging.
II Charging is completed
when the battery
i ndicator shows ([jj]].

Charging time : approximately 3 hours *
• The charging time depends on the amount
of
remaining power and the state of the battery.
Do not charge a pr i mary battery such as an alkaline
or lithium battery. It may cause battery leakage or
heating, which may cause the recorder to malfunction.
