Chapter 4 - Setup
Manual Rev. 1.01 Page 27
Access Alarms Password sets the password for RTS (real-time socket) access to the alarms file.
Show Password Prompt toggles the “Password:” prompt when opening a password-protected
port.
Local Command Requires Password toggles whether or not a password is required to access the
command processor via port 2.
Modem Call in Requires Password toggles password control on modem command processor.
Telnet/TCP Requires Password toggles password control on Telnet/TCP command processor
connections.
System Administrator Password is the password that allows access to all admin commands as
well as the setup menu.
Note: If password protection is disabled for a connection method, any user connecting via that method is
automatically granted admin access.
Dialback Security Setup brings up the following menu.
Data-Link DL50 - Dialback Security Menu
A) User 1 Phone Number []
B) User 2 Phone Number []
C) Dialback Security Enable [OFF]
Both of the phone numbers above corresponds with the two user passwords from the previous
menu. If the password for user 2 is entered for a modem connection and a phone number is
entered in User 2 Phone Number, the DL50 will disconnect the inbound call and then call the
configured callback number. When making the callback, the unit will again require a valid
password to gain access to the unit.
Dialback Security Enable toggles the dialback security for both users.
4.6 - Alarm Definitions
The alarm definitions branch contains all of the settings pertaining to data alarm monitoring,
percentage full, no data, and scheduled events.
Note: For an example-driven approach to defining alarm definitions, refer to Chapter 5.
Following is an example of this menu.
