tween the commutator and the armature coil core.
If
continuity exists, replace the armature.
Armature Shaft and Bushing Clearance:
Refer to
Figure
10-3,
10-7,
and
10-8.
Measure the bushing
inside diameter in the starter drive housing and end
frame. Measure the armature shaft outside diame-
ter on the pinion side and commutator side.
If
the
clearance is not as specified in
Dimensions
and
Clearances,
replace the bushing.
