Interpreting unexpected results
Refer to the following cautions when your results are
higher or lower than what you expect.
CAUTION:
Low results
If your result is below
3.9mmol/L or is shown as
LO (meaning the result is
less than 1.1mmol/L), it may
mean hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose). This may
require immediate treatment according to your healthcare
professional's recommendations. Although this result
could be due to a test error, it is safer to treat first, then do
another test.
NOTE: When your glucose result is below 1.1mmol/L, both
the LO and the Range Indicator Arrow will flash on the
meter screen.
CAUTION:
Dehydration and low results
You may get false low results if you are severely
dehydrated. If you think you are severely dehydrated,
contact your healthcare professional immediately.
