NOTE: Many people find it helpful to practise testing with
control solution before testing with blood for the first
time. See page59.
Preparing for a test
Have these things ready when you test:
OneTouch®Verio® Meter
OneTouch®Verio® Test Strips
Lancing device
Sterile lancets
NOTE:
• Use only OneTouch®Verio® Test Strips.
• Unlike some blood glucose meters, no separate step to
code your OneTouch®Verio® System is required.
• Make sure your meter and test strips are about the
same temperature before you test.
• Keep test strips in a cool, dry place between 5°C and
30°C.
• Do Not test if there is condensation (water build-up)
on your meter. Move your meter and test strips to a
cool, dry spot and wait for the meter surface to dry
before testing.
