Message What it means What to do
You may have
tested in an
environment
near the low end
of the systems
operating
temperature
range.
or,
The test strip
may have been
damaged or
moved during
testing.
or,
The sample
was improperly
applied.
or,
There may be
a problem with
the meter.
Make sure you
are testing within
the operating
temperature range
(10–44°C) and
repeat the test with
a new test strip; see
blood application
(pages 12–15) or
control solution
testing (pages 30-32).
