Playing the first track only (TR-1
Play)
In this mode, the unit plays only the first track of
the disc then stops. The TR-1 Play mode is useful
for playing disc singles. You cannot use the re-
mote controller for this operation.
1 Press the TR-1 button.
The TR-1 indicator appears.

2 Press the button.
The unit starts playing the first track of the
disc.
To quit TR-1 play
Press the TR-1 button again.

Playing CDs
• To perform Random, Memory or Repeat play,
you need either of the following remote con-
trollers:
RC-398S (supplied with A-905X amplifier)
RC-289C (optionally available)
Playing tracks in random order
(Random play)
1 Press the RANDOM button to enter
Random play mode.
The CD player plays the tracks in a random
order.

• Random play will be canceled when the RAN-
DOM,
(OPEN/CLOSE) or button is pressed,
or when all tracks on disc have been played.
• Random play can be performed in conjunction
with Memory and Repeat modes.
