Depending
on
the
area
for
which
each
unit
was
made,
some
models
are
equipped
with
cartridges
and
others
are
not.
Attaching
the
cartridge
Please
use
the
included
headshell
when
attaching
the
cartridge.
The
headshell
is
designed
for
almost
all
cartridges
on
the
market
today;
be
careful
not
to
buy
a
cartridge
that
is
not
compatible.
In
general,
cartridges
with
a
mass
of
4
9
grams
should
be
employed.
Attach
the
cartridge
as
shown
below,
connecting
each
of
the
color
coded
lead
wires
to
the
proper
terminal.
If
a
mistake
is
made,
no
sound
will
be
heard
or
stereo
reproduction
will
be
lost.
Also,
to
prevent
damage
to
the
stylus
during
installation
operations,
leave
its
cover
on
or
remove
the
stylus
completely.

the
headshell
lead
wires
and
cartridge
terminals:
White:
left
channel
signal
(L)
Blue:
left
channel
ground
(LE
or
LG)
Red:
right
channel
signal
(R)
Green:
right
channel
ground

RG)
Adjust
so
the
distance
between
the
stylus
tip
and
the
base
of
the
headshell
is
32
mm
(1-1/4’)
and
tighten
the
screws,
This
assures
the
effective
length
and
overhang
of
the
tonearm
are
correct.

an
Overhang
Gauge
is
included
Use
the
included
overhang
gauge
to
set
the
correct
position
of
the
stylus
tip.
After
attaching
a
different
cartridge,
always
balance
the
tonearm
again
and
set
the
appropriate
tracking
force.

Attach
the
headshell
(with
cartridge
attached)
to
the
tonearm
by
pressing
it
firmly
into
the
socket
and
tightening
the
headshel!

Attach
the
counterweight
[8]
by
rotating
it
slowly
in
the
direction
of
the
arrow
until
the
tonearm
is
balanced.
The
balance
point
is
where
the
tonearm
remains
level
when
released,
neither
end
dropping
to
the
surface
of
the
unit.
With
the
tonearm
in
this
position,
align
the
‘’0’’
on
the
scale
ring
[9]
with
the
reference
line
on
the
tonearm
by
rotating
the
scale
ring
[9].
Note
that
the
scale
ring
rotates
along
with
the
counterweight
but
the
counter-
weight
does
not
rotate
when
the
scale
ring
alone
is
rotated.
