MAHLE EBIKEMOTION X35 SYSTEM
ANT+ CONNECTIVITY
From Model Year 2020, all Orbea ebikes equipped with a
MAHLE Ebikemotion® X35 system do have ANT+ connec-
tivity from the factory, which allows for the visualization of
the X35 system data on compatible head units, such as the

The X35 system uses the ANT+ protocol to communicate
to compatible head units real-time data of the system. The
ANT+ communication occurs from the internal battery to
the head unit, it is not possible to control the system using
ANT+ accesories. The protocol by which certain accesories
can change parameters of the system, such us the Mahle
Ebikemotion mobile apps or a heart rate monitor, must be
Bluetooth 4.0 or later versions.
COMPATIBLE HEAD UNITS

The head unit to be connected to the X35 system for the
display of the system data must be compatible with this
data transmission protocol. Not all ANT+ units on the mar-

· Internal X35 battery charge level.
· Total system odometry.
· Current assist level.
· System errors.

X35 ERRORS DISPLAY:

Ebikemotion® X35 system can be displayed on the com-
patible head units. If the system has recovered from a
previous error, this can also be displayed in the head unit.
· ERRORS IN THE X35 SYSTEM: If there is an error code in
the system, this will be shown in the head unit by the ge-
neric error code E255. All system error codes (regardless

the code E255 in the head unit. Connect the X35 system
to the MAHLE Ebikemotion® X35 mobile apps (User or
&GCNGTCRR VQ CEEGUU VJGU[UVGOU URGEKƂE GTTQT EQFG
and the diagnostics/repair method.
· ERROR RECOVERY VISUALIZATION: If the system has
recovered from an error, this will be shown in the com-
patible head unit by the generic code E000 when the sys-
tem is switched on and paired with the display. The E000
code will disappear after a few seconds. The system has
no errors.

lights to the X35 system. Connecting lights
of greater output may make the system to
give out an illumination error.
The lights on Gain, both front and rear, are programmed as running lights, so they will turn on automatically
when the bicycle is switched on and will turn off when the bicycle is switched off. Once the bicycle has
been turned on, the lights can be switched off using the Iwoc One following the method described in the
X35 operation section of this manual. However, if the user prefers the lights not to turn on upon turning on
