Viewing map layers
Initially, Google Maps opens with a street map. You can view
additional map layers, such as satellite images and trafc
information. You can also view custom Web created Google Maps.
1. From the Home screen, Swipe up to reveal all your Apps >
then nd and tap on
Maps.
2. Tap
Map Type. A dialog opens with a list of layers.
3. Turn layers on or off by tapping the layer name. A
highlighted mark surrounding the Map type indicates the
layer is selected.
• Tap
Map Type and tap on the Map type you want
to deselect.
Getting directions
1. From the Home screen, Swipe up to reveal all your Apps >
then nd and tap on Maps.
2. Tap
Directions.
3. Use your current location as the starting point, or enter a
location in the Start point eld.
4. Enter your destination in the End point eld.
5. Tap your desired method of transportation > tap Get
directions.
