Screen lock
To set a screen lock
1. Tap Security > Screen lock under Device security to select
a screen lock and level of security.
• None: Never use a screen lock. (NOTE: This option may
not be available in all regions, or on all carriers).
• Swipe: Swipe the screen to unlock.
• Pattern: Create a pattern you draw on the screen to
unlock your Orbic TAB8 4G.
• PIN: Select a PIN to use for unlocking the screen.
• Password: Create a password for unlocking the
screen.
NOTE: If you forget your pattern, PIN, or password, you will have to
reset your Orbic TAB8 4G to factory settings, which will remove all
data from your Orbic TAB8 4G.
Smart lock
Smart lock keeps your Orbic TAB8 4G unlocked when connected
to a trusted device or in a familiar location.
Encryption and credentials
You can manage the trusted security certicates installed on your
Orbic TAB8 4G, which verify the identity of servers for secure
connections.
To manage the settings
1. Tap Security > Encryption and credentials.
• Encrypt Tablet
• Trusted credentials
• User credentials
