Yourself) use only. If a product is defective it will

be replaced in accordance with the terms of this warranty. Lithium

Ion batteries are covered by a 12 month warranty. Warranty

excludes consumable parts, for example: guide bar and chain.

This document provides a comprehensive manual for the Ozito Cordless Chainsaw, an 18V Lithium-ion powered tool designed for DIY use.

Function Description:

The Ozito Cordless Chainsaw is a portable, battery-operated cutting tool primarily designed for felling small trees, limbing (removing branches from a fallen tree), bucking (cutting logs into lengths), and pruning (removing limbs or branches from a standing tree). Its cordless design offers greater mobility and convenience compared to corded alternatives. The chainsaw features a chain brake for safety, which stops the chain within a tenth of a second, either manually or automatically in the event of kickback. An automatic oiling system ensures continuous lubrication of the chain and guide bar during operation.

- Limbing: Branches are removed from a fallen tree. Cuts should be made on the opposite side of the bending direction to prevent pinching.
- Bucking: Logs are cut into lengths. For logs on the ground, a halfway cut is made, then the log is rolled over to complete the cut from the opposite side. For supported logs, an upward cut from the bottom one-third is followed by a downward cut from the top.
- Pruning: This involves removing limbs from a standing tree. Users are warned against unstable footholds, overreaching, and cutting above shoulder height. Both hands must be used, and cuts should start from the bottom, finishing from the top.
Safety Features: The chainsaw incorporates a chain brake and a lock-off button to prevent accidental starting. The guide bar should be reversed every 8 working hours to ensure uniform wear. Guide rails should be checked frequently and squared up with a flat file if necessary.
Chain Sharpening: The chain should be sharpened regularly using a round 3.96mm (5/32") chain file. The file should be kept level with the top plate of the tooth, using outward strokes and maintaining a 30° angle between the chain and file. All cutters must have the same width and length after sharpening. For professional sharpening, users are advised to visit an authorized repair center every 3-4 uses.
Cleaning and Storing: Handles should be kept free of grease. The device should be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild washing-up liquid. For extended storage, the chain oil should be removed from the tank, and the chain and cutter rail should be immersed in an oil bath and wrapped in oil paper. The guide bar cover must be in place during storage. The chainsaw should be stored in a safe, dry place out of reach of children.
