Inspect your motorcycle before you ride.
1. Oil level: Check the level and if necessary, add oil. And check for oil leaks
2. Front and rear brakes: Check operation.
3. Tires: Check condition and pressure of both front and rear tires. If necessary, charge or repair.
4. Throttle: Check for smooth opening and full closing in all steering positions.
5. Lights and signals: Check that the headlight, taillight, turn signals and horn function properly.
6. Chain: Check that the chain is properly adjusted and is lubricated properly.
If it is severely worn or damaged it should be changed.
7. Steering: Move the handles bars from side to side and check for binding or stiffness.

NEVER start the engine when the engine is in gear.
