Transferring calls
Outside calls can be transferred between 2 people.
1 During an outside call, press MINTERCOMN.
When 2 or more handsets are registered:
MbN: Select the desired unit. a MSELECTN
R To page all handsets, press 0 or wait for a
few seconds.
2 Wait for the paged party to answer.
R If paged party does not answer, press
MINTERCOMN to return to the outside call.

W
hile you are talking with an outside caller, you
can make or answer a 2nd call on the other line,
and then combine the calls to establish a
conference call.
1 During an outside call, press MHOLDN.
2 To make a 2nd call:
Press MLINE 1N or MLINE 2N, then dial the
phone number.
To answer a 2nd call:
Press MLINE 1N or MLINE 2N.
3 When the 2nd call is connected, press
MCONFN.
R The 2 calls are combined.
R To hang up only one line, press MLINE 1N or
MLINE 2N for the party with which you want
to continue talking.
R To put both lines on hold, press MHOLDN.
– To resume both lines, press MCONFN.
– To talk with only one caller, press MLINE
1N or MLINE 2N for the party with which
you want to continue talking.
Conference call with an outside call and an
i
ntercom call
While you are talking with an outside caller, one
more extension can join the conversation and
establish a conference call.
1 During an outside call, press MINTERCOMN.
When 2 or more handsets are registered:
MbN: Select the desired unit. a MSELECTN
R To page all handsets, press 0 or wait for a
few seconds.
2 When the paged party answers, press
MCONFN.
R If paged party does not answer, press
MINTERCOMN to return to the outside call.
R The 2 calls are combined.
R To leave the conference, press MZN. The
other 2 parties can continue the
conversation.
Note:
R The outside call can be put on hold by pressing
MHOLDN. Only the person who placed the call
on hold can resume the full conference by
pressing MCONFN.

During a cellular call, press and hold the
corresponding cellular line key (MCELL 1N to
MCELL 4N) until the SP-PHONE indicator goes out.
R The cellular call is transferred to the cellular
phone.
Transferring a cellular call from a cellular
phone to the base unit
During a conversation using a cellular phone,
press the corresponding cellular line key (MCELL
1N to MCELL 4N).
R The cellular call is transferred to the base unit.
Using the other line during a
c
onversation
You can handle a cellular call and a landline call at
the same time. When another call is being
received during a conversation, the interrupt tone
sounds (page 40). You can answer the 2nd call
while holding the 1st call.
