Timer Playback Using a TV Monitor
Connected via S-VIDEO/Audio Cables

eTurm VTR “ON”.
Set the EXT Timer Selector to “REC” or “PLAY”.
®Set the Input Mode Selector to the desired position (“LINE”
or “S-VIDEO”.)
einsert a cassette tape.
eClear the Tape Memory.
Timer
Turn the Power “ON”.
eSet the timer to the desired time.
(Refer to the operating instructions for the timer.)
The timer should be purchased locaily.
TV Monitor
Make sure the power is turned “ON”.
Adjustment of the Audio Level
Adjust audio CH1 and/or CH2 recording level as described on
page 17 section “Audio Level Adjustment”.
Note
It takes about one minute to load the tape inside the VTR.
Therefore, set the timer pre-set time at least one minute before
the recording start time.

When the Preset times Comes
At the preset time, the power will be automatically turned “ON”
and the tape will start moving.
At the preset turn “OFF” time, the tape will remain loaded on
the cylinder of the unit. See NOTE below.

eWhen the tape reaches its end
VTR will go into the tape end function mode selected at the
TAPE END MODE Selector.
See page 13.
To stop timer recording
If desired to stop the timer recording/playback, press the
Stop Button.
Note:
elf the power is turned “OFF” while the tape is moving during
timer recording/playback, the tape will remain loaded.
When the power is resumed, the tape will be unloaded and
then the unit will go into the recording/playback mode.
