Private Mode
When this function is
used, the passengers in
the back seat can have fun
listening to the sound of a
CD or listening to the
sound and watching the
picture of a DVD video or
Video CD while the front
seat occupants can enjoy
listening to the sound of a
different source.

Each time the button is pressed, only the front
channels are switched to the source shown on the
unit’s display. While the PRIVATE MODE is ON, the
source which is output from the monitor will not be
switched even when the [SOURCE] button is pressed.
No sound is output from the rear speakers.

Note:
≥ Be sure to turn PRIVATE MODE off when you are not using it.
≥ PRIVATE MODE is cancelled if the disc is ejected while PRIVATE MODE is
ON.
≥ Before a DVD, Video CD or CD disc operation is to be performed or the volume or
other setting is to be changed while the PRIVATE MODE is being used, press
[SOURCE] and set the front speaker source to DVD, Video CD or CD, and then
proceed with the operation.
≥ When an attempt is made to perform any of the following operations which
cannot be selected, “CAN’T SEL” is displayed on the main unit to indicate that the
selected operation is invalid.
≥ Setting the private mode ON while there is no disc in the main unit
≥ Performing a
“ BALANCE” or “FADER” operation
