≥ When “Minimum” or “Standard” is
selected, lights on the display.
≥ When it is difficult to hear
comparatively quiet sounds (such as
movie dialogue), setting “Minimum”
will make those sounds easier to hear.

1. Pan&Scan: Plays in Pan & Scan mode
2. Letterbox: Plays in Letter Box mode
3. Return: The display returns to “Main Menu”.

5. TV Mode
Set this when playing wide-screen video on a conventional-size
(4:3) monitor.
[Default: Pan & Scan]
1. ON: On-Screen Display messages such as “Play” and “Pause” will always be displayed
on the screen for 5 seconds.
2. OFF: On-Screen Display messages such as “Play” and “Pause” will not be displayed .
3. Return: The display returns to “Main Menu”.
6. On-Screen Messages
This is to select On-Screen Display (➡ page 33) messages which
will be displayed when On-Screen Display is turned off by pressing
[OSD].
[Default: ON]
8. Dynamic Range Compression
By compressing the range of the playback level (the dynamic
range), it is possible to maintain the impact of audio even at low
volumes.
This function only works with Dolby Digital encoded material.
[Default: OFF]
1. 1: Minimum Level
2. 2: Middle level
3. 3: Maximum level
4. Return: The display returns to “Main Menu”.

7. Audio Output Level
Adjust the level at which the audio signals are to be output in the
PRIVATE MODE (➡ page 36).
