Operational Setup
Types of operations
The information below is to assist you in operating the unit in much more pleasant way. Please note that protective
devices will prevent the units from further operations in the event of the units being operated outside the operating
conditions.
HEATING
● Operating condition: Outdoor 24°C and below.
● If outdoor is 0°C and below
It is recommended to operate other heating equipment simultaneously as the unit is not drawing
enough heat from the outside to heat up the room.
● When operation starts and while the display is still blinking, there will be no airflow yet so as
to prevent an outflow of cold air.
● Defrosting operation:
The airflow will stop. The operation lamp will blink. All defrosted condensate will be drained
through the outdoor unit. (Page 22)
COOLING
● Operating condition: Set temperature 20°C and above
Room humidity Below 90%
Outdoor temperature 21 ~ 43°C
● Auto fan speed • Odour removing mode (Page 16).
: During the start of operations, there will be no airflow for quite a while.
At times, there may be a stoppage of airflow.
● If operating with the windows opened or if there is high humidity, condensate will form and
drip from the air outlet vents.
DRY
● Operating condition: Outdoor 16°C and above
● Auto fan speed • Odour removing mode (Page 16).
: During the start of operations, there will be no airflow for quite a while.
At times, there may be a stoppage of airflow.
● Dry operation is in progress while using an extremely weak fan speed to lower the room
temperature.
Recommended to operate during the rainy season or early autumn.
● In the event that the room temperature is higher than the remote control set temperature, the
fan speed will be running to that set by the remote control.
● In the event that the outdoor ambient temperature is lower than the room temperature, the
room temperature may go lower.
● In the event that the room temperature is lower than the remote control set temperature, the
humidity may not decrease.
AIR
CIRCULA-
TION
● This is to ventilate your room.
● It is recommended to operate during those seasons when the need to operate the heating or
cooling or drying modes, is not required.
● Purifies and deodorizes the air if the air purifying the filter is used.
AUTO-
MATIC
OPERA-
TION
● During the start of operations, automatic operation mode will select whichever of the these
modes: HEATING, COOLING or DRY in responcse to either the set temperature, or the out-
door temperature or the room temperature. This automatic operation will automatically select
and operate all the operating modes during every circle of 3 hours. Should you need to
override the automatic selection, please press the “MODE” button to change from HEATING
to COOLING and DRY to select the mode that you prefer.
● When other room units are already in operation, the operating mode of this unit will be the
same as the other room units’ operating modes.
● Please set the temperature at 20°C and above during summer and the rainy seasons. If the
temperature is set at 19°C and below, condensate will collect and drip from the air outflow
vents.
