9.3. Disassembly from the traverse
unit, assembly of the optical
pick-up unit, and precautions
on ESD-preventive
9.3.1. Disassemly
1. Before removing the optical pick-up unit, please apply an
ESD prevention bag(RPFC0114) to the OPU FFC, and
weld the short-circuit solder.
a. Set the temperature of iron is 350°C.
b. When using the iron head,do not apply a force more
than 1N to the pad. Do not touch any other compo-
nents around the welding spot.
c. Welding should be applied less than 3 seconds.
2. Remove the connector, and take out the OPU FFC.
3. Remove the Mid base.
