9.5 Recording paper jam
9.5.1 When the recording paper
has jammed inside of the unit
The display will show the following.
PAPER JAMMED
b
OPEN TOP COVER
Caution:
L Do not pull out the jammed paper forcibly
before opening the top cover.
L To prevent injuries, be careful not to put
your hands under the top cover.
1 Lift the cover release lever (1) and open the
top cover (2).
Important:
L Close the multi-purpose input tray (3)
before opening the top cover.
2 Remove the jammed paper.
Case 1:
When the recording paper has jammed
near the drum and toner unit:
Remove the jammed paper (1) carefully by
pulling it upwards.
Remove the jammed paper (1) carefully by
pulling it to the right.
Caution:
The fuser unit (4) gets hot. Do not
touch it.
