Security Measures
NOTE
z The hard disk lock function works with the built-in hard disk. It does not work with the external hard disk.
z We recommend you to set [Password on boot] to [Enable] to ensure security though it is not required to enable the
hard disk lock. (Note that the hard disk lock does not guarantee complete protection of the data.)
Disable floppy disk drive and/or CD/DVD drive operation to prevent the drive(s) from being read/written and from being used
to start the computer. You can protect your data from unauthorized access or accidental overwriting.
1 Select [Disable] in [MP Floppy Operation] or [MP CD/DVD Operation] in the [Security]
menu of the Setup Utility (Î page 64).
NOTE
z This does not work for USB floppy disk drive and USB CD/DVD drive.
