z Connect the AC adaptor if writing operation takes a long time. If the battery level becomes low and the power is not sup-
plied, writing operation may not be completed.
z You need to use writing software to write to discs. (“B’s Recorder” and “B’s CLiP” Î page 29)
Ensure the disc is compatible with the selected writing speed.
z The quality of written data depends on the disc.

z When using an optional drive, read the operating instructions of the drive.
To install DVD-RAM Software
To write to a DVD-RAM disc, you need to install the DVD-RAM Software.
A Set the Product Recovery DVD-ROM in the CD/DVD drive.
The [Utility Setup tool] screen appears automatically. (It may take some time to recognize the disc.)
z When the [Utility Setup tool] screen does not appear automatically, click [start] - [Run], input
[d:\Setuputil.exe]

and click [OK].
B Click [DVD-RAM Software Setup].
C Click [Driver and Formatter Setup].
D Follow the on-screen instructions.
z Carefully read the License Agreement

and click [Yes].
z In [Choose Destination Location], do not change the setting and click [Next].

“d:” indicates the CD/DVD drive. Change it to the corresponding drive on your own computer.
