Multimedia Pocket
2 Slide the latch (A) and remove the device.
3 Carefully insert the device into the multimedia pocket by push-
ing the both corners until it surely fits in the slot.
z The computer must be on when inserting the device.
z Insert the device with the plastic side up.
CAUTION
z Hold the device on its both sides. Otherwise the device may be damaged.
z Do not apply excessive force on top of the device since the projections at its bottom
may be deformed.
z Do not insert a floppy disk drive into the multimedia pocket when a USB floppy disk
drive is connected, and vice versa. If you attached both drives, remove one of them and
restart the computer.
NOTE
z You can see that the device is recognized or not by double-clicking
on the notification area, or checking the [Infor-
mation] menu in the Setup Utility (Î page 61). (When using a second battery pack, press
Fn
+
F9
.) If the device is not
recognized (or if the media cannot be accessed), turn off the computer and reinsert the device.
