hapter 9 MARKING THE PUTTING TURF
In order to putt from prescribed positions on the putting surface, letters must be stenciled to the carpet.
During play, golfer will be prompted to putt from lettered putting positions. These positions should be
clearly marked so that golfers can see them easily.
STEP 1 Clear Putting Surface
Remove all debris from the putting carpet by vacuuming the surface
thoroughly.
STEP 2 Stencil Letters

Stencil the letters on putting surface carpeting as shown. Use a wide-
tip, black, permanent marker for lettering.
