• Beforeyoudisassemblethe3Zunitoranyofitscomponentsreadthisentiremanual.Itprovidesimportant
informationonpartsandproceduresyouwillneedtoknowtoservicethe3Z.
• Determinethetypeofendconstructionfromthealternateviewsshownontheexplodedview.
• Referto“ToolsandMaterialsRequiredforServices”sectionfortoolsandotheritemsrequiredtoservicethe
3Zandhavethemavailable.
• Thoroughlycleanoalloutsidedirt,especiallyfromaroundttingsandhoseconnections,before
disconnectingandremovingthe3Z.Removerustorcorrosionfromcouplingshaft.
• Removecouplingshaftconnectionsandhosettingsandimmediatelyplugportholesanduidlines.
• Removethe3Zfromsystem,drainitofuidandtakeittoacleanworksurface.
• Cleananddrythe3Zbeforeyoustarttodisassembletheunit.
• Asyoudisassemblethe3Zcleanallparts,exceptseals,incleanpetroleum-basedsolvent,andblowthemdry.
WARNING:petroleum-basesolventsareammable.Beextremelycarefulwhenusinganysolvent.Evenasmall
explosionorrecouldcauseinjuryordeath.
WARNING:WEAREYEPROTECTIONANDBESURETOCOMPLYWITHOSHAOROTHERMAXIMUMAIR
PRESSUREREQUIREMENTS.
CAUTION:Neversteamorhighpressurewashhydrauliccomponents.Donotforceorabusecloselyttedparts.
• Keeppartsseparatetoavoidnicksandburrs.
• Discardallsealsandsealringsastheyareremovedfromthe3Z.Replaceallseals,sealringsandany
damagedorwornpartswithgenuineParkerorOEMapprovedserviceparts.
